Expensive Buffalo?

Why is this UC 2008 Buffalo so expensive? i thought the proofs were more so?

The 'W' 2008 UC Gold Buffalo's were a one year deal, with a fairly low mintage. Check out the prices on the 2008-W First Strike PCGS MS70 or PR70 buffalo's, those prices are absolutely nuts.

Only 9,074 $50 08 buff burnished and 18,863 $50 08 buff proofs.

Last time i looked, the proofs was selling higher than the UCs.....why the sudden change?

Looks like they are running approx the same now from completed listings. I think the burnished will eventually go for more because of the much lower mintage numbers but who knows. PCGS 1st strike proof is still top dog.
